ARMYMAGUSA Has the Latest Fudd Accessory

Guns & Gear

Okay, WTF did I just see? ARMYMAGUSA? Someone not only dreamed this up, but they made it and now they are paying to advertise it on Facebook? Okay, let me backup and start from the beginning.

Early this morning, I sat down at my computer as my coffee was brewing. I started to browse my Facebook feed, after I finished browsing my MeWe feed that is. As I scrolled down, an ad popped up into my feed. It was a picture of four guys walking through a field with shotguns, obviously doing some bird hunting. The ad’s only text was “You never know when you’ll need that extra bullet.” In the top corner of the still image is a weird looking device that I cannot for the life of me figure out what it is.

Curiosity got the better of me and I clicked play…

Huh? What the hell did I just see?

Let me think about all the positive uses for this device.

  • I guess you have a spare mag handy-ish. Aaaaand that is all I have.

Let me think about the negative aspects.

  • You cannot holster your handgun anymore.
  • The grip on the handgun just got significantly larger – hope you don’t have small hands.
  • You can no longer maintain a proper shooting grip.
  • Your handgun just got a whole lot heavier and much more unwieldy.
  • You cannot mount a light/laser on the gun, at least not one that can be used by either hand.
  • Good luck concealing that thing.
  • I’m super glad to see they added a 1913 rail on both sides of this thing. I can mount my T1 micro on there so I have a red dot when I shoot gangster style…

What is ARMYMAGUSA

With all that said, what is with the name? ARMYMAGUSA? Am I supposed to believe that some army somewhere actually uses this thing? And what the hell is with the guys hunting? What did they even have to do with this?

This whole thing, from conception all the way through the process ending at this ad, is a giant train wreck.

In true train wreck fashion, I can’t stop looking, so I went to the website and the catastrophe continued. They insist this will make you a better shooter, at the low, low price of only $50!

They even have testimonials from three people I have never heard of. The one guy who claims to be a firearms instructor has zero results for his name and firearms instructor via DuckDuckGo, and he is nowhere to be found on LinkedIn. Nothing about the testimonials feels real, nor do they sound like they were written by someone who is a competent handgun shooter, let alone an instructor.

There are two sad parts of this story for me. The first is that someone sunk a bunch of time and money into this ill conceived product. The second is that there are some people out there who are going to throw their money away and buy this thing.

All I can say is buyer beware…
