Apparently, there is supposed to be a pro-gun, pro-Trump rally of sorts, advertised as an “armed march” at every state capital, and the US capital in DC, for the four days leading up to Biden’s inauguration. Really? Or, is this potentially a trap?
They are talking about this all over the mainstream media and is being hyped as an “armed assault” on all of the state capitals and DC. The problem is, I am not seeing any hint of this anywhere other than the mainstream media, and from some folks who are still working cops who received the warning fliers the feds sent out.
Heck, my kid came home from school yesterday talking about it because the school made them watch a CNN story on it (much thanks to our public school for trying to program him…).
I am pretty heavily involved in the gun world. I’ve been writing gun content for about eight years. I have friends involved in the manufacturing of guns and accessories, I have friends who are large “influencers” on social media and even television. I have friends in the print magazine part of the gun world, podcasters, and other online outlets. Hell, I work two days a week in a brick and mortar gun store.
No where in that circle of friends and contacts has this “planned event” even been mentioned.
I am also a pretty outspoken conservative. I belong to a number of conservative groups on social media. I follow a great many conservatives on various platforms. My circle of friends, including 99% of the people I mentioned from the gun world, are all conservatives.
Again, not a whiff of anything about this upcoming, huge, giant “armed assault” on the capitals.
Lastly, I am a retired cop who has been running a pro-LE, pro-gun social media account that is on Facebook, Twitter, MeWe, and has it’s own website. Other than a couple personal contacts who mentioned the warning fliers they received, not a single hint of concerns about this supposed upcoming event. No messages, no emails, no calls, nothing.
It’s A Trap!
If the gun folks aren’t talking about this, and the conservatives aren’t talking about this, and the cops aren’t talking about this, but the leftist mainstream media is screaming about it, I have a hunch that this is a trap.
I am not the only one saying it is a trap. In fact, both The Gateway Pundit and the American Thinker have articles saying they too believe it to be a trap.
It is quite possible, some of the right wing fringe nutjobs are planning something like this, but then again, it is also just as likely as this is a setup to make conservatives look bad.
Worse that than, this would give the gun grabbers a HUGE chunk of ammo to use against us when they push their anti-gun agenda as soon as Biden takes office.
Please, do not fall for the trap. Listen to Admiral Ackbar. Avoid these events like you should a $2 hooker with crank sores. Attending will have negative repercussions that will affect all of us, and could last decades.
Again, for those slow on the uptake. THIS IS A TRAP!
